PCIe RS-232/422/485 cards have full isolation
The PCIe-ICM series of PCI Express serial communication cards features two or four ports of isolated software-selectable RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485. Isolation of 2 kV is provided between channels and between the PC bus lines and all signals, and all pins have ±15-kV ESD protection.
The cards have a x1 lane PCI Express connector, feature optional 40 to 85C operation, and use 3.3 V at 0.8 W and 12 V at 0.9 W typ. Each RS-232 port can support data rates up to 921.6 kbits/s and implement full modem control signals to ensure compatibility. RS-422 and RS-485 modes support data communication speeds up to 3 Mbits/s. ($269 to $479 stock to 2 weeks delivery.)
