PCMCIA controllers extend Intel functions
A family of three controller chips supports PCMCIA interfaces. The
208-pin VG-468 supports two PCMCIA slots, supports hot insertion, and can
be cascaded for up to eight slots. The 144-pin VG-465 also allows hot
insertion. It includes a Microsoft InPort-compatible mouse interface. The
VG-365 is software and footprint compatible with the Intel 82365SL. It
includes most of the features of the other two except for hot insertion,
and it supports two slots. The 468 and 465 are 100% register compatible
