The Intelligent Power Distribution Unit (iPDU) is a 12-outlet unit that automatically tracks and monitors rack-installed devices. It suits blade and nonblade servers, storage, and third-party devices for local and remote power management of high-density, data center deployments.
Consisting of three-phase 17.3–kVA units in both 60–A / 208–V and 30–A / 415–V configurations, the family provides single-phase and three-phase monitored power, as well as full-rack power from 4.9 kVA to 22 kVA for up to 30 outlets. The power distribution family provides power cables with embedded communication lines and automatically maps the power setup inside a rack directly to management software. The units offer vendor neutral load sensing, and precision monitoring of current, voltage, wattage, and power. They feature power-cycle ability of individual outlets or pairs of outlets to prevent inrush current overloads. (60 A/208 V/17.3 kVA iPDU, $2,099; 30 A/415 V/17.3 kVA iPDU, $2399 — available now.)
