Personal-electronics case line is broadened

Designed for personal electronic devices carried in the hand, on a key ring, wrist strap, or lanyard, Minitec cases are now available in a broader range of sizes and intermediate rings. Previously available in two sizes — 2.04 x 1.26 x 0.59 in. and 2.67 x 1.69 x 0.70 in. — the series is now available in eight sizes up to 3.31 x 2.08 x 0.75 in. The new intermediate rings include wider versions to increase case height, plain versions without eyelets for handheld-only devices, and a ring with an end aperture for a USB connector.

The series consists of two basic designs: the Edge rectangular style and the Drop droplet style. Each case consists of a top and bottom molded in off-white or lava gray ABS or black infra-red transparent PMMA (UL 94 HB), as well as a soft TPE intermediate ring in one of four standard colors: volcano gray, orange, lime green, and bright blue. Location bosses are molded in the bottom parts and the cases are assembled using a single self-tapping fixing screw. The Edge style is also offered with a smooth top for fitting, say, a rubber keypad. (From $8 — available now.)
