PFC circuit exceeds distortion standard
The TK84819D power-factor controlled switching regulator IC exceeds the
requirements of the IEC 555-2 power-line harmonic-distortion standard. The
device includes electrostatic discharge protection in excess of 2,000 V,
start-up current of 200 microamps, and low quiescent current consumption.
The outputs of the controller have a current capability of greater than 1
A. In addition, the device has undervoltage lockout with 6 V hysteresis,
wide common-mode range-sense comparators, and a precision duty-cycle
limiting circuit for the PWM section. The TK84819D comes in 20-pin DIPs.
