Photonics West is the premier photonics and laser event. With more than 1,250 companies, this exhibition continues to be the flagship event to find the latest products, tools, and applications for your research or business needs. It takes place February 7 to 12, 2015 in the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The conference offers coverage for biomedical optics, photonic technologies, semiconductor lasers and LEDs, photonic integration, nanotechnologies in photonics, green photonics for solid-state lighting, and a new track on 3D printing.
Plenary sessions start on Feb. 8 with BiOS plenary on the role of photonics in the recent Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The OPTO plenary will introduce the winners of the Green Photonic awards on Monday, Feb. 9. The Nano/Biophotonics plenary will be about the challenges of biophotonic investigation at the molecular level on Tuesday (Feb 10) morning followed by a neurophotonics in the afternoon on synapse function and formation in neuropsychiatric disorders. On Wednesday, Feb 11, the plenary session will offer a paper from NASA on optical communications, another talk is about ultrafast femtosecond lasers, and a third talk is about technical breakthroughs for laser 3D printing.
