PIC32 32-bit MCU families feature connectivity

Feeding the demand for higher performance, connected embedded processors, the 32-bit PIC32MX5, PIC32MX6, and PIC32MX7xxxxx series MCUs all feature an 80-MHz clock, USB Host/Device/On-The-Go, six UARTs, and nine I2C/SPI ports. The ICs have 64 to 128 Kbytes of RAM and either a CAN2.0b interface, a 10/100 Ethernet MAC interface, or both.

The MX7 processor has two CAN interfaces, and all chips are completely compatible with current software, tools, and boards. The I/Os use a DMA interface to maximize data throughput and the Ethernet ports have a unique factory-programmed MAC address.

The CAN controllers use system RAM for storing up to 1,024 messages in 32 buffers with advanced filtering capabilities. ($4.73 to $6.55 ea/10,000 — available now.)
