Pressure sensor fits automotive applications
The MPX4100A/4101A series manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor
monitors absolute air pressure within a motor vehicle's intake manifold to
compute the amount of fuel required for each cylinder. The sensor consists
of a piezoelectric shear-stress strain gauge and temperature compensation,
calibration, and signal-conditioning circuitry, all on a single monolithic
chip. It is well suited for direct microprocessor interfacing. The
absolute pressure range for the sensors is 20 to 105 kPa. Response time
(10% to 90%) is 1.0 ms. Operating power requirements are 5.1 Vdc typ and
15 mA max. (xxx–xxx.) Motorola, Inc., Phoenix, AZ xxx xxx
