Plug and socket pair suits PCB-to-FPC apps

With a 0.4-mm pitch, the XB4A plug and XB4B socket board-to-FPC connectors feature a mated stacking height of 0.9 mm (0.035”) and widths 4.1 or 5.0 mm. The connectors come in 40- and 80-pin versions and feature high-reliability double-contact-point gold-plated contacts. A nickel barrier between the contacts and PCB terminals prevents solder creepage.

The plug and socket mate with molded guides that lead the housing to the mating position. An audible, tactile click confirms proper mating. Contacts are rated 0.3 A at 50 V AC/and resistance is 60 mΩ max. Insulation resistance is 1000 mΩ (min.) at 250 Vac, and withstand voltage is 250 Vac for 1 min.
