The ZSPM4121 and ZSPM4141 are ultra-low power, low drop-out regulators and under-voltage battery protection switches that target ultr-low power applications. They feature standby power consumption of 20 nA for the ZSPM4141 and 70 nA for the ZSPM4121.
The ZSPM4121 protects batteries from destructive discharge by connecting or disconnecting the battery from the load based on a set threshold voltage. Even during the off-mode, charger current can be delivered to the battery through its internal Schottky diode. It drives up to 200-mA while consuming 20 nA in standby and 100 pA in power-down mode. The ZSPM4121 is suited for voltage monitoring in conventional or solar trickle-charging applications. (Ea/1,000: ZSPM4121, $0.75; ZSPM4141, $0.35 — available now.)
