Pmods offer easy circuit evaluation

Pmods are small I/O interface boards that offer an ideal way to extend the capabilities of evaluation kits and demo boards. They communicate with system boards using 6, 8 or 12-pin connectors and can plug into any FPGA/CPU expansion port which follows the Pmod standard established by Digilent.

Maxim offers the Analog Essentials Collection of 15 Pmod boards with everything from an octal relay driver, a Precision 16-bit D/A or A/D converter, a Temperature Sensor/Switch, a Thermocouple to Digital, a 16-Port IO Expander, or a 5PPM Real Time Clock. Each of these modules costs about $20, or you can buy the entire collection for just $89.95 (MAXPMBAE1#) on the Maxim web site

They also offer seven different Pmod-compatible subsystem reference designs for such functions as an analog front-end, an Isolated digital translator/serializer, or an isolated power supply.
