TI's PMP10572 reference design is a single output isolated Fly-Buck power supply for Power of Ethernet applications.
The design provides 12V 1A output from 48V nominal input. It is designed with the TPS2378 (PD controller) so as to provide 40V-57V input voltage and 12V 1SA output power, and features the LM5160A synchronous buck converter configured as a Fly-Buck regulator.
Thanks to its primary side regulation, the supply has outputs regulated without an optocoupler or additional transformer winding.
The LM5160A has 1.5A output current capability with integrated switch FETs, and a wide Vin range of 4.5V to 65V,. Its input voltage can be regulated with a range of 40V to 57V.
PMP10572 provides 12W supply power at 85% peak efficiency. This board is tested, and all design files / test reports are included.
