PTS Series enclosures are made of highly impact-resistant polycarbonate reinforced with 10% fiberglass, a material combination that offers an IP67-rated alternative to costlier metal enclosures. The series is available from stock in 15 sizes ranging from 2.56 x 1.97 x 2.17 in. to 22.05 x 11.02 x 5.12 in. at prices starting at $5.45, with quantity discounts offered. In addition, the series is rated UL 508/NEMA Type 4X and 6, and is offered with an opaque or clear gasketed cover.
The cover attaches with non-metallic screws, and available accessories include a steel/plastic (PTX) internal mounting plate and steel (NBX) or plastic (PIX) external mounting brackets. RoHs-compliant and non-chlorinated/ non-brominated flame retardant with a UL-94 5VA rating, the boxes are well suited for housing access controls, lighting, control boxes, and Wi-Fi and radio devices in such application environments as chemical plants, pulp/paper mills, corrosive environments, and powder/dust processing environments.
