There are three versions available, PADS Standard, Standard Plus, and Professional. PADS Standard is a full solution including schematic and component management, layout, routing, and manufacturing preparation, with easy-to-use schematic and layout translators. It has broad capabilities for system design and project design with hierarchical support and advanced design attribute and design rules management. Its component library has more than 350 k devices.

 Standard Plus adds constraint checking, high speed layout, and signal integrity checking. Professional includes advanced constrains, 2D/3D placement, and full 3D layout with DRC. There is no limit on number of layers or board size in any version.
