Power connector scales to 12.5 Gbits/s

Designed for both backplane and orthogonal applications, the ZipLine power module has a current carrying capacity of 7 A per position, or 42 A per column. Built on the company’s AirMax VS technology, the connector can scale from 2.5 to 12.5 Gbits/s without requiring redesign of a basic platform.

The connector provides 84.6 differential signal pairs per linear inch when configured with 6 differential pairs per column at a 1.8-mm column pitch, and can attain 101 differential signal pairs per linear inch at a 1.5-mm column pitch. (Contact John Burkett for price and availability.)
