The B82733V frame core power line filter choke comes in a vertical mount with an insertion height of 27 mm and a footprint of just 29 x 15.5 mm – requiring 30% less board space than horizontal versions. The current-compensated choke is designed for a maximum voltage of 300 Vac and offers inductance values of 10 to 100 mH.
The device can handle rated currents of between 0.7 and 2.3 A and operates at up to 40 °C. The plastic frame and the epoxy resin coating of the part meets UL94 V-0 requirements. An example 39 mH unit (B82733V2122B001) has a Rdc of 696 mΩ, stray inductance of 800 µH, and handles 1.2 A. The choke is approved according to ENEC (VDE) and UL. Approximately $1.70 ea/1,000.
