Power MCM targets mobile, network apps

The TB7005FL is a member of a family of power MCMs with a synchronous step-down converter switching module for mobile computers, servers, and network equipment applications. It features an input voltage range up to 30 V, output current of 35 A and an operating frequency up to 1 MHz, making it suitable for high-power CPUs and other point-of-load modules and servers.

The module combines a MOSFET gate-driver IC for 5-V operation of high-side and low-side MOSFETs. The low-side MOSFET minimizes on-state resistance, gate-to-drain capacitance and gate resistance. The high-side MOSFET is optimized for fast switching, achieved through low gate switch charge and gate resistance. ($3.50 ea — available now.)
