Power MOSFET has 1.2 x 1-mm footprint

The Si8445DB 20-V p-channel TrenchFET is a power MOSFET in a chipscale package with a 1.2 x 1-mm footprint. It is 20% smaller than the industry’s next-smallest device, while offering the same 0.59-mm profile.

The device has an on-resistance rating as low as 1.2 V with an on-resistance range from 0.495 Ω at 1.2 V to 0.084 Ω at 4.5 V. Typical applications for the new device include low-threshold load switching, charger switching, and battery management in portable devices such as cell phones, PDAs, digital cameras, MP3 players, and smart phones.
