Micropack is a dc power system that targets smaller loads such as service provider demarcation equipment. The system supports load ranges between 250 and 1,000 W, suiting it for broadband extension and other high-speed data and telecom applications.
The power system consists of the Micropack 250W rectifier and the Compack controller, which mounts on a DIN rail and is on-site configurable. The system includes two or four plug-in positions for the rectifier, and provides one Ethernet-based position for the controller. The input voltage range extends from 85 to 300 Vac. It has a power factor of greater than 0.98 at 55% or greater load, and has 93% efficiency at 55% to 100% load. Input to output isolation is 3 kVac.
