The Sitara AM5726 and AM5728 processors feature dual Cortex-A15 cores, two C66x floating-point VLIW DSPs cores, and dual Cortex-M4 cores intended for real-time and image processing. The 5728 version has 2D and 3D hardware acceleration engines, a video accelerator, and a display subsystem.
The chips feature an industrial communication subsystem (ICSS) for real-time fieldbus protocols, along with PCIe, SATA, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB 3.0 interfaces. They have 2.5 Mbytes of L3 RAM, two DDR3/DDR3L memory interfaces, a quad SPI interface, hardware crypto accelerators, and come in a 23.0 × 23.0 mm package.
