SwitchCore’s Xpeedium2pro™ CXE-2139 is a full-blown single-chip solution for 28 ports of wire-speed Layer 2 and Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switching. The CXE-2139 adds valuable features for access applications, such as advanced VLAN forwarding modes, and full Diffserv functionality with meters, markers and shapers. It provides bandwidth management to support a large number of subscriber and service provider SLAs, as well as extensive per subscriber statistics.
The Xpeedium2Pro CXE-2139 is ideal for DSLAM aggregation router core and line cards as well as other multi-gigabit metro aggregation routers and back-plane applications. The only additional components required for a stand-alone wire-speed 24 or 28 port Gigabit Ethernet Switch/Router with classification, prioritization and guaranteed bandwidth are a CPU, physical interfaces/transceivers and optional Rambus buffer memory.
