Powerline networking IC yields up to 1 Gbit/s

The QCA7500 HomePlug AV2 powerline networking controller can deliver Gigabit-class performance and coverage throughout a home using existing electrical wiring. The chip uses the 2-68 MHz frequency band with OFDM modulation and is network standard IEEE 1901, HomePlug AV compliant and HomePlug AV2 pre-compliant.

The IC provides hardware AES 128-bit encryption, DDR 2/3 memory interface, RGMII/RMII communications interface, a SPI/GPIO interface, and delivery for IPTV service. It supports HPAV modes of operation with QOS/packet classification and 67 or 30 MHz MIMO and has a power save feature to improve energy efficiency when in standby.
