Designed for both backplane and orthogonal applications, the ZipLine connector system offers up to 101 signal pairs per linear inch at a 1.5-mm column pitch—presented as the industry’s highest-density press-fit connector of its type. The connector provides scalability, supporting speeds to 12.5 Gbits/s, while pushing ahead in the density battle being waged right at the interconnect level in numerous high-speed data-transfer applications.

Built on the company’s AirMax VS technology, the connector system uses edge-coupling technology to deliver high signal density with low insertion loss and low crosstalk. The company says this connector development was a direct response from conversations with customers—including chip designers, reference design houses, and system designers—regarding the importance of increased signal density for future designs.
