Programmable filter is also 50-MHz amplifier
The Model 3955 low-pass Butterworth dual-channel filter has a tunable
cutoff frequency range from 170 Hz to 25 MHz, an attenuation slope of 24
dB/octave per channel and a stopband attenuation of greater than 100 dB.
The filter provides for input gains to 20 dB and output gains to 26 dB.
The filter can also operate as a voltage-gain amplifier with a bandwidth
greater than 50 MHz and rise and fall times of less than 7 ns. Input
impedance is selectable 1 M Ω or 50 ohms, with a maximum input signal
of 1.5 V peak and a maximum output signal of <_2b_>3 V peak. Noise,
referred to the input, is typically less than 250 microvolts. Other
features include 3 1/2-in.-high half-rack chassis, overload detection,
nonvolatile memory, self-test diagnostics, and full IEEE-488
programmability. ($3,550–30 days ARO.) Krohn-Hite, Inc., Avon, MA Joe
