The HMC862LP3E and HMC905LP3E SiGe BiCMOS programmable frequency dividers feature low noise and come in SMT packages. The HMC862 can divide by 1, 2, 4, or 8 in the 100-MHz to 15-GHz input frequency range. The HMC905 can divide by 1, 2, 3, or 4 in the 400-MHz to 6-GHz range.
The HMC862 runs on 5 V and has a phase noise of –153 dBc/Hz at offset frequencies greater than 100 kHz, while the HMC905 runs on 3.3 V and has SSB phase noise of –158 dBc/Hz at the same offset.
