A two-leaded version of the TMOV34S Series thermally protected circuit-protection device integrates a 34-mm square-format metal-oxide varistor with a thermally active element that opens and safely disconnects the device in the event of overheating. The patented design specifically addresses the requirements specified in UL 1449, Section 37.

Single-pulse energy ratings for the 8/20–µs current wave are up to 40 kA, and single-pulse energy ratings for a 2-ms current wave range from 235 to 1050 J.
