Protection devices can replace MLVs

Featuring a low profile plus low-leakage and low-capacitance ratings, the uClamp 0511T and uClamp 1211T handset protection devices are designed to replace multilayer varistors in portable applications. The bidirectional uClampxx11T parts are housed in a two-pin SLP1006P2T 1.0 x 0.6 x 0.4-mm package.

Leakage current for both devices is below 50 nA max, and both offer a capacitance of 4 pF. Working voltage for the uClamp0511T is 5 V/5 V and 12 V/12 V for the uClamp1211T. (uClamp0511T, $0.24 ea/1,000; uClamp1211T, $0.24 ea/1,000 — available now.)
