PSMA sponsors APEC 2017 industry session on transportation power electronics

Industry and government agency experts will offer insights into vehicle electrification

At APEC 2017, the Power Sources Manufacturers Association’s (PSMA) Transportation Power Electronics Technical Committee will sponsor an APEC Industry Session titled: Vehicle Electrification – Not just the Powertrain . The session (IS12) will feature seven speakers from industry and government research laboratories who will discuss the new and evolving technologies shaping the transportation market. The session will be held during the APEC conference on March 29th  from 2:00 p.m. to 5:25 p.m., at the Tampa Convention Center.

The Transportation Industry Session is composed of the following presentations:

  • Electrified Transportation Challenges
  • Wireless Power Transfer: a Developers Guide
  • Which Way for Wireless Power: High Q or High K?
  • Electrification of the Auxiliary Accessories in Electric Drive Vehicles (EDV's)
  • 12V / 48V Hybrid Vehicle Technology
  • Electric Drive Technologies Research Roadmap Update
  • Waste Heat Recuperation for Passenger Vehicles

PSMA Transportation Power Electronics Committee co-chairs, Ralph Taylor of Delphi and Fred Weber of Future Technology Worldwide, encourage attendees of APEC 2017 to attend this informative Industry Session and to consider participating in the other PSMA-sponsored Industry Sessions during the week.

If you have ideas or suggestions about topics that you would like to learn more about regarding automotive electrification, or about the theme of next year's Industry Session, please be sure to attend the PSMA Transportation Power Electronics Committee meeting. The committee meeting will take place on Tuesday March 28th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (Tampa Convention Center, Room 31).
