PWM IC charges
in two modes
The LT1510 current-mode PWM battery charger provides the constant-current
and/or constant-voltage charging required by Li-ion, NiCd, and NiMH batteries.
The IC generates up to 1.5 A of charging current (programmable with a single
resistor) and accepts 8 to 28-V inputs.
Specifications include 5% accuracy at full charging current, a 0.5%-accurate
voltage reference, and a 200-kHz switching frequency. The device's 2-A switch
permits up to 90% efficiency. Battery current sensing can be taken at either
terminal. The LT1510 is available in 8-pin SOPs as well as 16-pin SOPs and
DIPs. (From $4 ea/1,000–available now.)
