The QorIQ LS2085A and LS2045A processor SoCs are based on Layerscape architecture and feature eight or four 64-bit Cortex-A57 cores running at up to 2 GHz. They have dual DDR4 memory controllers with ECC along with eight 10-Gbit interfaces, and eight 1-Gbit interfaces, with L2 switch capabilities. The SoCs have an advanced datapath engine capable of 40 Gbit/s complex packet processing with acceleration technology.
The chips include 20 Gbit/s SEC crypto acceleration, a 10 Gbit/s pattern matching engine, a 20 Gbit/s data compression engine, and Express Packet I/O that supports 1×8, 4×4, 4×2, 4×1 PCIe Gen 3 controllers. The processors are designed for SDN/OpenFlow switching, NFV solutions, wireless access, enterprise routing, and data center processing applications. They will be available in 2H 2014.
