The PCM1865 four channel audio A/D converter features a universal front end and 110 dB dynamic range. It needs only a single 3.3-V power supply and comes a 7.80 × 4.40 mm TSSOP package. The device supports input levels from mV microphone signals to 4.2-VRMS differential inputs – without external dividers.
The chip is SPI or I2 C programmable and has an internal reference. Power dissipation is less than 145 mW, and low power standby/sleep modes as low as 0.59 mW are available. Differential input THD+N at -1dBFS is -93 dB, and sampling frequencies are 32 to 192 kHz. Other versions (PCM1860 – 1864) are available – some with hardware programmability. $3.99 ea/1,000.
