Quad RS-422 xmitters run on 3.3 or 5 V

The ISL32179E, ISL32272E, and ISL32274E quad RS-422 transmitters are ESD protected to 16.5 KV and operate from either 3.3 or 5 V at temperatures of –40° to 125°C. Maximum data rates are 10 to 32 Mbits/s and quiescent current is 0.8 mA.

Shutdown supply current is as low as 60 μA. Driver outputs are tristatable, and incorporate a hot-plug feature that keeps them disabled during power-up and -down. The ISL32179E comes in a 4 x 4-mm QFN package, the others in TSSOP or SOIC packages. (From $1.60 ea/1,000 — available now.)
