Quad sine-wave clock buffer has on-chip LDO

Measuring 1.6 x 2.0 mm, the four-channel CDC3S04 sine-to-sine wave clock buffer can replace up to three individual same-frequency TCXOs. Designers can use this 1:4 low-jitter chip in a wide range of mobile applications including cell phones (UMTS/WCDMA/GSM), smartphones, mobile Internet devices (MID), ultramobile PCs (UMPC), navigation units, and global positioning systems (GPS).

The buffer features an on-chip LDO that acts as a TCXO on/off switch for power savings during low-power standby. Housed in a 20-pin WCSP package, the part also provides a built-in I2 C interface and an ESD protection of 2-kV HBM, 750-V CDM, and 100-V MM. ($1.80 ea/1,000 — available now.)
