The BAR 65-D3-IP66 series of rugged, IP66, railway grade dc-dc converters provide an input voltage surge withstand capability of a minimum of 3.5-Vn for 20-ms, meeting RIA12 requirements. The design also meets EN50155. Heavy filtering on the input and output ensures that the units comply with EN50121-3-2.
Nominal input voltages for the dc/dc converters, and EN50155 input ranges include 24-Vdc (14.4 to 34-V), 36 Vdc (22 to 51-V), 48 Vdc (29 to 67-V), 72 Vdc (43 to 101-V), 96 Vdc (58 to 135-V) or 110 Vdc (66 to 154-V). Single outputs include 12, 24, 48 or 110 Vdc. Custom input and output voltages are available on request. Regulation is better than 1% from no load to full load. The units operate from –25° to +55°C.
