The Tadiran Rapid Response TRR series of lithium thionyl chloride (LiSOCl2) batteries deliver high capacity and high energy density without voltage or power delay and compared to similar batteries extend operating life 15%. The batteries eliminate passivation effects that can hinder battery performance. The TRR battery technology is available in all standard sizes of cylindrical cells and has the TL-79XX & TL-89XX nomenclature.
The LiSOCl2 battery eliminates voltage drop as well as voltage drop under pulse (transient minimum voltage level). The result is zero delay during the voltage response. The batteries use available capacity efficiently, especially in extremely hot or cold temperatures. The products have a low self-discharge that enables an operating life of 20+ years and have an operating temperature range from –55° to +85°C.
