The Raspberry Pi 2 Model B single board computer still costs just $35 and now it has a 900 mHz quad-core Broadcom BCM2836 Cortex-A7 based processor with a VideoCore IV GPU. It is the same credit card size as its predecessor, but now has 1 GByte of LPDDR2 SRAM. The card is said to be 6X faster than the previous version.
Microsoft will have a version of the Windows 10 OS for Raspberry Pi 2 that will be free of charge to the Maker community through the Windows Developer Program for IoT. The Linux OS is available. The card has a 10/100 Ethernet port, a 40-pin GPIO connector, four USB 2.0 ports, a stereo output and composite video port, a full size HDMI port, a CSI camera port, DSI display port, a Micro SD slot, and a Micro USB power source.
