Humanistic Robotics has created a SafetySense remote controller to operate paraphernalia used in construction zones. Working just like a video game controller, this apparatus enables the user to control the construction equipment as if the worker were actually in the vehicle. Manipulating the heavy-duty equipment in this manner can be way more efficient, providing a safer and more wholesome viewpoint for the construction worker.

Other remote controllers used in construction sites in the past have been obtuse, wired up to a main power source, and not user-friendly. The SafetySense controller is totally manageable, even for novices who have little to no experience with RC-operated devices. It is waterproof so it can be used in various weather conditions. The wireless device enables its user to widen its range of use with AES128 encryption and a range of 1000+ ft and has sensor detection capabilities.

The frequency bands that SafetySense covers include 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz; coverage for other bands can be specially ordered. As an RC device, it meets ISO 13849 PLd Cat 3 requirements and can halt quickly in an emergency. SafetySense has dual processing paths and has programmable user feedback with a customizable LCD screen and vibratory motors.

The device is still undergoing tests to make sure it is 100% safe and ready-to-go.
