The CPR5U-040 is a 5-A, 400-V fast-recovery rectifier with a switching speed of 25 ns and packaged in the GPR-4AM voidless glass-bead axial-leaded case. It is manufactured with a 660C metallurgical bond and is encapsulated in solid glass for maximum protection and passivation of the silicon chip. The CPR5U-040 meets or exceeds the performance characteristics of other similar glass bead rectifiers.
