Red, amber LEDs are among the brightest

Delivering 16,000 and 7,200 mcd, respectively, the HLMP-EGxx and HLMP-ELxx series of red (626 nm) and amber (590 nm) LEDs are said to be among the brightest 5-mm through-hole round LED lamps. Competitively priced, they are intended for sign and signal applications.

Available with 15°, 23°, or 30° viewing angles, the RoHS-compliant lamps come in untinted, T-1-3/4 packages. Use of optical grade epoxy with UV-a/b inhibitors provides high moisture and sunlight resistance outdoors. Forward voltage is 2.1 to 2.4 V, operating temperature is –40° to 100°C, and maximum junction temperature is 130°C. ($0.16 ea / 10,000 — available now.)
