More than 90 reference designs for the Lattice MachXO and ispMACH 4000ZE PLDs have been released. The designs enable the efficient design of commonly used functions such as general-purpose I/O expander, I2 C bus master/slave, an LCD controller, and an SD Flash controller.
Each reference design has comprehensive documentation along with HDL source code (Verilog and/or VHDL) and test benches, many of which have been implemented and validated using low-cost development kits. (No charge — available now.)
