Regulator stabilizes CRT monitor flybacks
The DAR flyback regulator provides extremely fast voltage regulation for
load changes when connected in series with a CRT flyback transformer. The
regulator provides this regulation for load changes of up to 1 mA without
any reaction on the horizontal sweep, thereby maintaining focus,
brightness, and image stability in the face of major load changes
associated with complex window and graphics screens. The DAR requires
only a single supply voltage of 12 to 24 Vdc at 5 mA, and it has a
footprint of only 1.5 x 2.1 in. Its height is 3.7 in. Operation of the DAR
is compatible with both monochrome and color flybacks from 10 to 30 kV,
and it meets UL and CSA requirements. ($39 ea/100–stock to 4 weeks.)
