The FT7522, FT10001, and FT3001 reset timers provide a delay between when a button/key is pressed and when the button action happens — preventing an unintended actuation. This is, of course, most important on a system-reset button.
The single inputs of the FT7522 and FT10001 provide fixed delays of 7.5 and 10 s, while the FT3001 has two inputs for single- or dual-button resetting capability and four selectable delay values from 3 to 6 s. All devices function over a power supply range of 1.65 to 5.0 V and draw less than 1-µA supply current when inactive. ($0.22 to $0.29 ea/1,000 — 8 to 12 weeks ARO.)
