The surface-mount (SMT) 3034TR and through-hole-mount (THM) 3035 20-mm coin-cell-battery retainers have ultra-low profiles (4.1 and 4.3 mm, respectively) to support high-density pc board layouts. Engineered with high-efficiency spring tension to ensure low contact resistance and firmly secure batteries within the retainers, the rugged, lightweight SMT and THM battery holders have clearly marked polarity.
Made of phosphor bronze, the nickel-plated retainers accept 2020, 2025, and 2032 coin cells from all major manufacturers, and they can withstand high-temperature soldering. SMT versions work with vacuum and mechanical pick-and-place assembly systems and have solder tails located outside the retainer bodies to ease visual solder-joint inspection. Retainers are compatible with lead and lead-free solder-reflow processing.
