RF clock IC achieves industry’s best jitter performance
The AD9525 RF clock IC is claimed to offer the industry’s lowest jitter for communications and instrumentation equipment that requires high-speed data conversion and optimum SNR performance. The part achieves absolute broadband rms jitter of 83-fs (1-kHz to 100-MHz offset range), at 245.76 MHz, including jitter contribution from the external VCO. This IC supports up to a 3.6-GHz output speed that is nearly three times faster than competing clocks.
Additional features include an output-to-output skew of 25 ps, and outputs of 8 LVPECL and 1 LVPECL SYNC. Housed in a 48-lead LFCSP the part operates at 3.3 V.($8.33 ea/1,000 — availble now)
