The 2SMES-01 electromechanical switching relay features a MEMS-based construction that enables exceptional high-frequency performance at frequencies as high as 10 GHz (50 Ω) including 30-dB isolation, 1-dB insertion loss, and 10-dB return loss. Measuring 5.2 x 3.0 x 1.8 mm, the device integrates two SPST normally open silicon chips to enable SPDT or DPST-normally open operation to meet the needs of the automated test equipment market.

Driven by an electrostatic drive system, the RF MEMS switch is capable of speeds to 100 µs, is rated for 100 million operations at 0.5 mA, 0.5 Vdc, and has been tested at more than one billion cycles.
