RF tool is now supported by foundries, component vendors

The ADS 2011 RF design software offers capabilities for multitechnology design inherent in today’s RF System-in-Package (SiP) components. The tool is supported by GaAs/GaN and RF SiGe/BiCMOS/CMOS foundries and relevant SMT component vendors. Coming soon will be upgraded kits and libraries that will be publicly available to foundry and component vendor customers.

Key specs include a new use model that makes it easier to setup and run 3D planar and full 3D electromagnetic simulations, load-pull capabilities for faster, better matching-circuit design from measured data, and layout improvements that make physical design in ADS easier than ever. Other improvements include redesigned icons for layout and command menus, linear simulation speedup, broader data display capability, and improved transmission line models.
