RF transceiver offers high blocking resistance
Targeting short-range wireless systems in the global 2.4-GHz ISM band, the ADF7242 RF transceiver supports either 250 kbits/s in IEEE802.15.4 mode or up to 2 Mbits/s in FSK mode. The receive path is based on a zero-IF architecture enabling high blocking and selectivity performance. The transmit path is based on a direct closed loop VCO modulation scheme.
Features include a sensitivity of –95 dBm at 250 kbit/s (IEEE 802.15.4), –93 dBM at 250 kbits/s (GFSK), and –84 dBm at 2 Mbits/s (GFSK).In addition, the device offers a programmable output power of –21 to 5 dBm in 2-dB stepsand a power consumption is 18 mA typ in receive mode and 22 mA typ in transmit. Housed in a 32-pin LFCSP package, the part features a flexible dual-port RF interface with support for switched-antenna diversity. ($2.82 ea/1,000 — available now.)
