Measuring 7 x 7 mm, the MAX2830 802.11g/b RF transceiver integrates a PA, Rx/Tx and antenna diversity switches, and a digitally controlled crystal oscillator. The part achieves a sensitivity of 75 dBm, a supply current of 62 mA, and a linear transmit power of 17 dBm.
In addition, the transceiver operates from a 2.7 to 3.6-V supply, and the PA operates from 2.7 to 4.2 V. Housing is in 48-pin TQFN-EP packages. ($5.97 ea/1,000—available now.)
