RF Tx/Rx chips suit wireless control

The MC33696 PLL-tuned UHF transceiver and MC33596 low-voltage receiver can be used for remote keyless entry, garage door control, RFID products, alarm monitoring, wireless alarm and security systems, home automation and automatic meter reading. Both parts feature frequencies of 304, 315, 426, 434, 868, and 915 MHz (ISM bands), up to 108-dBm receive sensitivity, an IF filter bandwidth of 380 kHz, a current consumption of 9.2 mA in Rx mode, and an automatic wakeup function.

The MC33696 also features RF transmitter data rates of up to 20 kbits/s, programmable in four steps from 19 to 17 dBm. The devices can be used across a voltage range of 2.1 to 5.5 V. (Ea/1,000: MC33696, $1.96, MC33596, $1.82available now.)
