The MLX90129 RFID sensor tag embeds a versatile sensor interface together with an internal temperature sensor to monitor environmental parameters. The sensor output data is stored in the internal 3.5 kbits user memory.
It can be accessed and controlled through its ISO/IEC15693 RFID front end or via its SPI port. Without any other components than a 13.56-MHz tuned antenna, it becomes an RFID thermometer. In run mode it consumes 600 µA max, and in sleep mode 1.5 µA typ. The device is offered in a –40° to 85°C version in the industry standard TSSOP20 pin package.
